How to Watch Tokyo Marathon 2021 Live Stream, Date & Time

This year’s Tokyo Marathon was originally scheduled for March, but amid the ongoing coronavirus, crisis organizers decided to postpone. Since Tokyo was rescheduled for October, and Japanese athletes are expected to have trouble attracting elite athletes from overseas and Japan, in the middle of the Ekiden season. The Tokyo Marathon Foundation has decided that foreign runners will not take part in the TM 2021 due to strict border restrictions for travelers entering Japan and the uncertainty of when they will be withdrawn.

Tokyo Marathon 2021 Time Lmits:

Full Marathon: 7 hours.
Wheelchair Full Marathon: 2 hours 10 min.
10 km (10.7km) – 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Wheelchair 10km (10.7km) – 40 minutes.
Deadlines and cut-off times are all gun time (gross) time, regardless of the start time.
Cut-off times will be in force at each checkpoint due to traffic control, safety and operation.
Runners who fail to cross the checkpoint before the cut-off period will be eliminated from the race. In addition, runners who lag behind the speed of the cut-off period may be stopped from leaving the course at any time.

Marathon: Japan residents – 16,500 JPY
Japan: 5,000 JPY
International: 9,000 JPY
Without Goody Package – 3,500 JPY

Tokyo marathon 2021 participate eligibility:

Marathon – must be at least 19 years of age on race day.
General – Runners who can complete the race within 6 hours and 30 minutes.
10 km (10.7 km) race -must be at least 16 years of age on race day.
Junior and Youth – 16 to 18-year-old runners on the day of the race, who can finish the race in 1 hour 45 minutes.
Visually Impaired – Runners 16 years of age or older on the day of the race are able to finish the race in 1 hour 45 minutes.
Intellectually Challenged – Runners aged 16 and above on the race day capable of finishing the race within 1 hour 45 minutes.
7.Organ Transplant Recipient – Runners 16 years of age or older are able to finish the race in 1 hour and 45 minutes on the day of the race.
Wheelchair – Participants 16 years of age or older on the day of the competition, able to finish 40 minutes of racing in a racing wheelchair.
Elite Wheelchair – Athletes registered with JPA in fiscal 2021, and must be registered with the IPC in fiscally 2021.
General Wheelchair – Participants who can complete the race within 2 hours and 10 min using a racing wheelchair.
Semi-elite athletes – who meet the requirements set by the “Run as One” – TM 2021.

How to watch Tokyo Marathon 2021 Live Broadcast Online TV?

The race will open live via online Broadcast on Fuji Television Network. Fuji TV will only broadcast and broadcast the competition live in Japan. For local viewers, Nippon Television Network Corporation broadcasts the marathon live on TV.
